Culebra's beaches are spread around the island — Zoni on the wild east end, Melones and Datiles close to town, Tamarindo and Flamenco to the north — and most visitors only ever see one or two. The Day — Five Beaches, About 17 Miles, About 6 Hours
One departure a day, timed to the morning boat from Ceiba. The clock below is the weekend ride (roll out 9:30); on weekdays everything runs about 1h30 later (roll out 11:00). Every beach stop includes 30 minutes of free time to swim or snorkel, and every stop is a photo stop — the guide shoots, and the photos are sent to you afterwards. The three marked stops are the big ones for pictures.

Lunch isn't included — it's at your own cost at the Flamenco kiosks, and the kiosks take cash. We bring cold bottled water and snacks (trail mix, trail bars) for the whole ride. Where We Start and Finish
The Culebra ferry dock — the Sandbar / Le Deli Bleu / Kokomo Hotel strip
The ride starts and ends on the waterfront strip right in front of the ferry terminal — Sandbar, Le Deli Bleu and the Kokomo Hotel are the landmarks. Walk off the boat and the bikes are waiting; we meet 15 minutes before roll-out (9:15 weekends, 10:45 weekdays) and finish on the same strip, in time for the boat home. Tap for the meeting point.
Tour vs. Renting Solo
E-Bike with Locals · The Five Beaches Ride — $100 per rider
The guided, timed version: six hours, five beaches, a local guide who lives on Culebra, and the day timed to your boat. The e-bike is included in the price, and your photos land in your inbox afterwards.
Renting solo — half day $35 per bike, full day $50
Same standard e-bikes, your own route and your own pace; the first two bikes booked each day are $25 for the half day. Many riders take the tour on day one and rent solo the next day to go back to the beach they liked best.

When do tours start?
E-Bike with Locals opens October 15, 2026. Ride dates from October 15 onward can be reserved right now — pick your date, tell us how many riders and hold it with $10 per rider. We don't run the tour before October 15, so a date earlier than that isn't bookable.
How much is The Five Beaches Ride, and how does the $10 deposit work?
$100 per rider, with the e-bike, helmet, your guide, cold bottled water, snacks, photos and all five beaches included. $10 per rider holds the booking online; the balance is paid by card at the start of the ride (we're cashless). The only add-on is a snorkel set for $10 per rider. Lunch is not included — it's at your own cost at the Flamenco kiosks, and the kiosks take cash. Book by 8:00 PM AST the night before — there are no same-day tours. Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before the start and the deposit is refunded; inside 24 hours the deposit is kept. If we cancel for weather, you get a full refund.
How long is the ride?
About 6 hours. We meet 15 minutes before roll-out — 9:15 on weekends (roll 9:30, back about 3:00) and 10:45 on weekdays (roll 11:00, back about 4:30). That covers five beaches with 30 minutes of free time at each, an optional coffee stop in town and lunch at the Flamenco kiosks (lunch on you; water and snacks on us).
How far is it?
About 17 miles on the road, in short legs: about 4.5 mi from the dock to Playa Zoni, about 4.5 mi back to town for the snack, about 0.9 mi to Playa Melones, about 1.1 mi to Playa Datiles, about 2.5 mi to Playa Tamarindo (via town), about 1.0 mi to Playa Flamenco and about 2.9 mi back to the dock. The e-bike does the hills.
Do I need to be fit for 17 miles?
You need to be comfortable riding a bike — that's it. The tour runs on our standard pedal-assist e-bikes, so the hills do the work, and the miles come in short legs with a 30-minute beach stop between them; the longest stretch is about 4.5 miles. The ride is private, so the pace is your group's pace.
Is lunch included?
No. Lunch is at the Flamenco kiosks — at 1:00 sharp on the weekend ride, about 2:30 on weekdays — at your own cost, and the kiosks take cash. We do bring cold bottled water and snacks (trail mix, trail bars) for the whole ride, and there's an optional coffee stop in town after Zoni. We list the options and their posted hours on this page; hours change, so check the pin on the live map.
What should I bring?
A swimsuit (wear it under your clothes), a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses and cash for the kiosks. Bring a card for the balance — we're cashless at the start. We bring cold bottled water and snacks (trail mix, trail bars); there are restrooms at the ferry terminal and restrooms and showers at Flamenco. Photos from the ride are sent to you afterwards. Add a snorkel set ($10 per rider) when you book if you want to snorkel.
How does the ride line up with the ferry, weekend vs weekday?
On the September schedule: weekends, the 8:00 AM boat from Ceiba lands at 9:00 — we meet at 9:15, roll at 9:30 and are back at the dock about 3:00, in time for the 4:00 PM boat. Weekdays, the 9:00 AM boat lands at 10:40 — we meet at 10:45, roll at 11:00 and are back about 4:30 for the 5:30 PM boat. Seats on the ferry are sold by the ferry, not by us, so we can't promise a sailing has space — check your boat before you book the ride.
Is the tour private?
Yes. One group per day — 2 to 6 riders, your party only — with a local guide who lives on Culebra. Nobody else is added to fill seats.
Is there an age minimum?
Yes — every rider must be 16 or older. Groups are 2 to 6 riders, and each rider gets their own e-bike and helmet.
Do I need my own snorkel gear?
No — add a snorkel set (mask, snorkel and fins) for $10 per rider when you book, or bring your own. Every beach stop has 30 minutes of free time to swim or snorkel: turtles and eagle rays off Melones, turtles, rays and nurse sharks over the seagrass at Tamarindo, the Culebrita view at Zoni. It's a beach snorkel stop with our sets, not a guided snorkel tour.
Can I do the tour on an e-moped?
